Dr. Os Guinness, Christian apologist and social commentator now in his 80s, is the narrator and featured presence in Focus on the Family produced film, "Truth Rising," in partnership with the Colson Center. Guinness believes Western culture and civilization are at a tipping point, what he calls a “civilizational moment,” a period when culture loses touch with its original purpose and dynamism. The root cause is people don’t hold to truth because they fail to hold to the Truth—that is, Jesus Christ, from whom all truth flows. In this interesting and thought-provoking film, Guinness travels the world to make his argument that Western culture and particularly America have three options: renew our commitment to original ideals  that made the country and civilization flourish in the first place, replace them with something else, or decline.
